Welcome!

My name is Albino Brown [of "The Ska Parade" Radio Show (the first Ska Radio Show in the US (1989) - now in its 32nd year!)]. I am known for coining (1989) and catalyzing the "3rd Wave Ska" movement along with assisting such multi-platinum bands as No Doubt/Gwen Stefani and Sublime (and the Orange County/The O.C. ska scene e.g., Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris, The Aquabats).

I am a recognized ska historian, writer, and archivist; and a champion and promoter of all ska generations [e.g., traditional/The Skatalites, 2-Tone/The Specials and 3rd Wave Ska styles (that including ska-punk and ska-core)]. Note: The Equators' "Age Of 5" includes The English Beat's Dave Wakeling and Albino Brown.

I was the ska consultant for such projects as the popular book, Gwen Stefani & No Doubt:  A Simple Kind Of Life (Omnibus Press), co-producer of the 2010 Warped Tour "ska stage," ska columnist for the world music magazine, The Beat, and much more.  My projects have been featured in such media as Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, L.A. Times, and VH1.

I've just completed my first book,"The Graphic Artists of Ska & Punk."
